Thought for the day; Beware of worshiping Jesus as the Son of God and professing your faith in him as the Savior of the world, while you blaspheme him by the complete evidence in your daily life that he is powerless to do anything in and through you. Oswald Chambers (1874–1917)
Good morning dear beloved friend. How are you doing? Did you rest well last night? I hope you did.
My day started today at 5:00 am in the morning. I had a meeting at 7:30 am. After the meeting I headed straight to Jesus Followers office for devotion. There to my surprise 40 women came from different parts of India to meet my dad. I had the opportunity to share the gospel with them I spoke on Psalm 13 “Which starts with a question and ends with a praise”. Encouraged them to look to God and have faith in their tough situations.
Today in our devotion in Psalm 27 David gave expression to his absolute confidence in God’s abiding love: “The Lord is my light and my salvation-whom shall I fear….of whom shall I be afraid?” much later the apostle Paul reveled in that same assurance, expressing it in these terms: “If God is for us, who can be against us?...who shall separate us from the love of Christ?… we are more than conquerors through him who loved us” (Romans 8:31-39). Paul, like David, understood that God would never turn his back on his people. Our Lord Jesus during his time on earth had earlier reminded the people of this same truth (John 6:39; 10:28-29).
Dearest friend, instead of worrying about your life, you can relax and focus on the things of the Lord (Matthew 6:25, 33). You may be experiencing fears and worries. Sometimes you may feel all alone and in bondage to pain, and it feels as though the hurting will never stop. Sometimes you worry about your ability to meet your financial obligations for the coming month, problems at Job, misunderstandings in your marriage and sickness at home. No matter what causes anxiety in your life, you can rest in the blessed assurance that God is greater than any problem and any force of darkness in your life (1 John 4:4).
Listen to me very carefully He promises to take care of your every need- but more than that, He promises to be with you as you go through the challenges of life. (Matthew 28:20; John 14:18). What a blessed promise. Will you claim this promise today as you face a new day with new challenges. God doesn’t want you to have victory He wants you to be more than conqueror in every situation you are facing in your life right now through Grace and faith in Jesus Christ.
Have a victorious day. God Bless
In His service in India
Pastor. John Spurgeon
