No one is hopless whose hope is in God

Devotion for the day – April 23, 2010

Text: Hebrews 12:11Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

Good morning dear Brothers and Sisters. How are you doing today? Well some of you are not that great. Allow me to talk to you today through God’s word.
When trouble comes into your life, you sometimes feel as if you’ve been hit broadside. You feel desperation, depression and disappointment then wonder why is this happening to me?
One possibility is that God is using a painful experience to get your attention. In Psalm 119:71, David wrote, “It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn your statutes.” And in Hebrews 12:11 says that chastening “Yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness.”
Is God using pain in your life to lovingly persuade you to change? The season of trouble may not be easy, but if we let ourselves be trained by it, new growth will result as we become more like His Son.

Dear beloved what is bothering you today? Are you emotionally depressed, disappointed in life about certain problem you are facing today?

Don’t wait another minute trying to figure out why certain evil things have happened to you. You may never know the answer. But don’t use that as an excuse to get into self pity. Leave it alone, get up, and move on with your life. Trust God and accept the fact that there will be some answered questions. Also remember that just because you don’t know the answer doesn’t mean that one does not exit.
You must walk out of any emotional bondage in which you have been living. Learn to do what David did: Just wash your face, keep a good attitude, and move on.
If you will stay in an attitude of faith and victory, God has promised that He will turn those emotional wounds around.

He will use them to your advantage, and you will come out better than you would have had they not happened to you.

Listen to me very carefully; Affliction for God’s people can be the pruning knife to prepare us for greater fruitfulness. God may be taking you through pain to give you peace, suffering to give you strength, hardships to give you happiness and problems to give you power.
Will you surrender your situation at His cross and trust in His might power for redemption today.

Have a Blessed day, God bless
