Endurance is not just the ability to bear a hard thing, but to turn it into glory. William Barclay

Devotion for the day – April 13

Text: 1 peter 5:7 says: casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Greetings dear Brother and Sister, How are you doing today? Some of you are not really doing well. Are you in a battle? Perhaps it may be financial conflict, marriage, health, or some dissension with a family member. You wish you could understand all the details of the conflict, but you cannot determine the wisest way to handle the matter. There are so many battles in our day to day life.
When trouble comes, your best course is found in following God. He knows what you are up against. Some things, especially those involving relationships, rarely are solved overnight. Patience and faith are key players in finding the right solution to any problem. Think about how most military commanders handle a battle. Rarely do they move without a plan of action. So what is your plan of action for your battles?
Often the battles we face are strategically allowed by God to increase our faith and level of dependence on Him. It is not unusual for the Lord to allow us to go through suffering and pain until we admit our need for His wisdom.
Dear friend if this describes your situation; it’s time for you to acknowledge your need of the Lord.
Let me show you a classical example from John 21. After Christ’s death, the disciples went through a very discouraging time. Peter, James, and Andrew returned to their nets and fishing. What a surprise it was to hear Jesus calling to them from the shore. Listen to me very carefully they were at the end of themselves, and they needed the savior.
Are you at this point? What ever you may be going through Jesus can resurrect you from any situation provided you invite Him into your life and situation.
