Devotion for the day

Devotion for the day
Psalm 9:4 For You have maintained my right and my cause; You sat on the throne judging in righteousness.

God upholds your just cause, he is our vindicator. In this life, you may face many injustices; you may be falsely accused and misunderstood by friends and enemies. You may not be truly appreciated by others for the love you show. The true value of your work and service may not be truly rewarded your ideas may be ignored. But God is to be praised, for He sees and remembers all the good you do, and it is up to Him to decide the timing and the appropriateness of your rewards.

If you do not trust Him to vindicate you (one who clears you from criticism and justifies you before others), then you will be susceptible to hatred, depression, disappointment and self-pity.

If you do trust Him, you can experience God’s peace and be free from the worry of how others perceive you and treat you.

Dear beloved remember God will never abandon those who seek Him. God’s promises does not mean that if we trust in Him we will escape loss or suffering, it means that God himself will never leave you no matter what you face.

A Christian who walks by faith accepts all circumstances from God. He thanks God when everything goes good, when everything goes bad, and for the “blues” somewhere in-between. He thanks God whether he feels like it or not. Erwin W. Lutzer (1941– )

Have a blessed day
