Thought for the Day

Good morning friends, hope you all had a good night's rest.

Let’s start our day with the word of God. Today's devotion is taken from Genesis Chapter 25
Here in this chapter we see that after the death of his father Abraham the journey of Isaac begins.

Isaac inherited everything from his father, God's promise to make his descendants into a great nation.

As a boy, Isaac did not resist as his father prepared to sacrifice him, and as a man, he gladly accepted the wife that others chose for him.

Through Isaac we can also learn how to let God guide our life and place his will ahead of our own.
The test of faith has begun in Isaac's life, his wife Rebekah was barren. What did Isaac do my friends?

He pleaded with God. The bible encourages us to ask and plead God for our most personal and important requests. God wants to grants our requests, God may also decide to withhold His answer for a while. In those waiting moments don't get frustrated, depressed and anxious. But wait on the Lord. Psalm 37:5 says commit everything to Lord, trust Him and He will help you.

I know some of you have been waiting for a breakthrough in your finances, marriage, jobs, and projects and even regarding children. Dear brother and sister put your trust in Almighty God and wait on Him to act on your behalf. Psalm 37:7 says be still in the presence of the Lord and wait patiently for Him to act.
You may be praying and waiting on the Lord for a long time and you may also start to lose hope, but list to me carefully. our God is a God who keeps His promises and he will never fail us. If God is delaying His answer it's for a reaon

God may be delaying His answer in order to:

1. Deepen your insight into what we really need

2. Broaden our appreciation for his answers

3. Allow us to mature so we can use His gifts more wisely.

Practical application: Let's trust God to give us a breakthrough today, however even if we don't get a breakthrough today lets continue to have faith in our Lord and wait patiently in his presence.

Our disappointments are appointments from God.

Have a blessed day

In His Service

John Spurgeon
