Others may fail you, but God never will

Devotion for the day: January 29, 2010

Good afternoon dear brothers and sisters, when I saw the snow outside I was thinking and thanking God’s awesome creation and provision in our lives.

So let’s get into the word Text: 1 Kings 17:2-5

Here in this text we see that, after Elijah confronted King Ahab, God ordered him to go into hiding. The place chosen, the Brook Cherith, was a great place to hide. Ahab would never think of looking in such a forsaken area, but it was a challenge to survive there. Yet God proved Himself adequate. There was a brook for water, and at his command even ravens helped provide for Elijah’s needs.

No situation or circumstances is too difficult for God. When the world withholds its provision, he is adequate. What God uses to provide for you may seem strange but with all of creation willing to do His work, he will find a way.

Take heart my dear brother and sister. Those dark shadows on the horizon may well be God’s ravens. Be assured that God will never forsake you nor fail you. Whatever you situation or circumstances, you will always find Him adequate.

So trust Him and have faith on Him

Others may fail you, but God never will

Be careful in the snow and if your driving home back from your offices drive carefully

May God be with you have a blessed weekend

In His Service
